Barbara "Barb" Byrum is a Democratic member of the Michigan House of Representatives from Ingham County,[1] representing the 67th District in succession to her mother, House Minority Leader Dianne Byrum (who was prevented from running for re-election by term limits). Byrum is in her second term in the Michigan House of Representatives and serves as caucus chair. She also is the Chair of the House Committee on Insurance. Finally, she serves on the Commerce, Education and Health Policy committees.
Last term, Byrum served as vice-chair of the House Committee on Agriculture and as the chair on the Intergovernmental, Urban and Regional Affairs Committee. During the 94th Legislature, she also served on the Commerce, Education and Health Policy committees.
Byrum is a graduate of Michigan State University, earning a bachelor of science degree in agribusiness management and a law degree from the MSU College of Law. She lives in Onondaga with her husband Brad Delaney and their sons Blake & Bryce.
